Alyssa Pietropaolo is a staff attorney with NLS in the Butler County office. In this role, she handles a variety of legal issues for Butler County residents, including but not limited to representation in custody matters and Protection from Abuse cases, unemployment compensation, and landlord-tenant litigation. Prior to expanding her practice area as a staff attorney, Alyssa specialized in working with crime victims under our Victims of Crime Act grant. Prior to joining NLS in 2018, Alyssa worked as a Title IX Coordinator at Bethany College in West Virginia, and served as a law clerk to the senior and visiting judges in Beaver County, Pennsylvania.
In addition to practicing law, Alyssa exercise enthusiast and teaches cycling and kickboxing. She also volunteers with the sorority, Gamma Phi Beta, both locally and internationally.
Ms. Pietropaolo earned her J.D., cum laude, from the Duquesne University School of Law in 2016. While in law school, she was a three-year merit and Dean’s scholar, as well as an award recipient of the Honorable Carol Los Mansmann Memorial Fund. Alyssa was also named the outstanding law student in her graduating class by the National Association of Women Lawyers. This award is given to a graduating law student who has demonstrated academic achievement, exhibited motivation, tenacity and enthusiasm, contributed to the advancement of women in society, promoted issues and concerns of women in the legal profession, and earned the respect of the dean and law faculty. Alyssa earned a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from Duquesne University in 2013.

Ms. Pietropaolo is a member of the Butler County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and actively participates in the Young Lawyer’s Divisions of both associations. She is admitted to the bar of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
