Allegheny Link - a new service housed in the Allegheny County Office of Community Relations and funded by a grant from the Governor's Office of Health Care Reform. The Allegheny Link's overarching goals are to simplify and streamline access to services and supports and provide assistance to consumers who are seeking services and making long-term living decisions. The services provided by the Allegheny Link are eligibility screening, information and referral, benefit and options counseling, application assistance, and follow up.  The target audiences for these services are people over the age of 60 or people ages 18 - 59 living with a disability. The Allegheny Link can accept call or walk-in referrals.

Community Voice Mail - provides a free voice mail box where people can access their messages. Messages can be accessed 24 hours a day from any phone, and are private and confidential (available in English and Spanish). The CVM program is for any individual in need. The program empowers individuals and improves their ability to conduct the business of their lives. W.E. C.A.R.E. (Welcoming Extraordinary Children by providing Assessments, Referrals and Education) - a joint offering of the Allegheny County Health Department and Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, provides in-home visits to identify needs and help families connect to essential resources. The program, staffed by nurses, educates families about medical conditions and treatments, and can actively coordinate care between primary and specialty doctors. Allegheny County children under the age of 21 with any type of medical or developmental need are eligible for this personalized service at no charge. Physicians and other professionals may refer patients to the program or families may call directly.
