The Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh re-opened its Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8) Waiting List on February 28, 2010. Pre-applications for Section 8 Housing will be accepted by mail only. All pre-applications must be post-marked between February 28 and March 15, 2010, and mailed to the housing authority.
The pre-application form is available on HACP's website, www.hacp.org. You can also download a copy here or stop by NLSA's office between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday to pick up a copy of the pre-application form from our receptionist. Pre-applications will also be available through the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review or New Pittsburgh Courier and in HACP administrative offices. Please note that pre-applications will be accepted by mail only; HACP will not accept pre-applications at any HACP administrative or site offices.
The order of the list will be determined by a random lottery system. Please do not submit multiple pre-applications for the same person. Only one pre-application will be processed for each person.
