This guide is a free service which is made possible through a grant from the Legal Services Corporation and the ongoing support of Pennsylvania Legal Services. The web site was created by Pro Bono.net and is maintained by Pennsylvania Legal Services, in conjunction with Neighborhood Legal Services Association.
Community Justice Project (CJP) - a non-profit, public interest law firm. Its mission is to protect and expand the civil rights of low-income people throughout Pennsylvania, except Philadelphia. It provides broad impact legal support for eligible low income people who live in Pennsylvania. Through this advocacy, the CJP seeks: to protect the basic needs of low income individuals and families, and to assist them in their efforts to become self-sufficient or to otherwise improve their lives and the communities in which they live; t o enforce laws protecting rights of Pennsylvanian residents in their homes, schools and workplaces; and, to change the policies that hurt low income Pennsylvanians, especially those policies affecting, welfare, childcare and transportation.
