Community Auto - a nonprofit car dealership that puts donated vehicles into the hands of low-income workers and TANF consumers. Cars are reasonably priced and reliable. Community Auto is located on Route 910 just east of Route 8 in Richland. More information is available at 724-443-8300. Medical Assistance Transportation Program - provides non-emergency medical transportation for Medical Assistance consumers of all ages. Call 412-281-5474 or 412-350-4476 to do an application over the phone and get more information.
Department of Public Welfare - provides $750 toward purchase of a car for individuals that need a car to work or attend education and training. Contact your caseworker for more information.
Traveler's Aid - offers a number of transportation programs including medical transportation and help with getting to work. Call 412-281-5466 for more information.

Call-in Change Center - The Department of Public Welfare County Assistance Office has a new Call-in Change Center - this call-in center is “a quick and easy way for beneficiaries to report changes in their case or get information” without needing to reach their case worker. This system will allow individuals to: make updates or changes to their cases; check application or case status; hear general information such as how to apply for benefits; and request forms and documents.
Hours: 7:30 AM until 5 PM Monday through Friday. You can also call after hours to hear general information and request certain forms and documents.
